Group page - Hero section
- We prefer the first version, with social links below the about paragraph
- we’re hopeful that these two columns—left column with about info, then right column with hiring goals—can be made to look more balanced in the design phase. right now they’re pretty lopsided. Is this reasonable? Or, if you think it’ll be hard to make them not lopsided, let us know and we’ll re-think it.
Group page - updates section
- Is it possible to hide the Updates section on some Group pages? For some customers we will do regular updates, but for many customers we won’t. Flexibility would be great. Let us know!
Group page - right sidebar
- IMO we don’t need separate boxes for sub-teams. We prefer just a single box with bullets. ...This is kinda boring, I know, but most customers won’t have very many bullets so IMO it’s best to simplify.
Group page - left side (videos)
- Please remove “interviewed by [name]]” from each video clip. It’s enough to give the interviewer credit as a contributor
- The sync box looks like a great solution. Couple questions:
- On the group page, can we change whose videos are at the top? For example, James is at the top right now; can we move him to the bottom instead?
Contributors
- On the Contributors page, can we limit the number of people who appear? In practice there will be two types of contributors: 1) content people who work for us (BYA), and 2) the people who work for our customers who help us bring projects to life. Typically these are members of the recruiting and/or marketing teams. Our intention is...
- On the dedicated Contributors page we want to show only the content people who work for us (BYA). AKA: these user profiles serve as a portfolio for our team members
- On each Group page, we want to show both our team members (who work with that customer) AND the people who are employees of our customers (as mentioned above). We’re especially interested in showing these employees because it makes them feel bought-in to the project and will help us maintain a close relationship with them. (And it will give those people credit at their companies so they will look good to their coworkers :))
- P.S.: there will be bases where the people we interview will also be contributors, per above. Not sure if this is a problem?
General stuff (not in order)
- We need to make sure the URLs we currently use (for “team profiles” on the current website) will take visitors to the same “group” on the Notion version of the site. I’ll say more in via Loom video...
- We think it’d be smart to test with some real content before diving into design. How should we go about this? Maybe this is a good reason to meet on a live video call and look things over together? I’m into this if you have time next week. Let me know :)
- Styling phase: What should our process be?! Heh. In Slack, Nate and I shared a quick video re: visual preferences. This is just a first step though, if course. Can you please suggest a process? Even 3–5 bullet points would be good!
- Video hosting: should we host as native Notion videos or can/should we host using our current tool, jwplayer.com? More notes on this in the Loom video!
